EMER - Asset Management System

New dimension of the data-driven asset management

What is EMER?

An innovative Asset Management System developed by Geometria, that integrates the peculiarities of the utility markets with our international best practices.

The EMER system is designed to support corporate asset management plans using a consolidated asset management database. Asset management planning is based on risk-based decision support.

From an operational point of view, the EMER asset management system includes, on the one hand, the definition of network device groups (so-called maintenance units) and the planning of intervention generation rules (device strategy planning). On the other hand, the program-level planning and transfer of interventions are based on the rules for implementation (intervention program planning) .

The deployment of the EMER asset management system helps the company to use its resources more efficiently, as well as to meet the required indicators while reducing the risks of network failures. The system can be applied to any public utility network and plant.

How does it work?

Data consolidation

The network registry data model needs to be transformed for device lifecycle tracking. The transformation is mapped in accordance with the dual data model according to IEC CIM, i.e. both the installation location and the device aspect of the physical devices are displayed in the data model. The system pulls the information from the up-to-date asset management master data and database. The indicator updates such as health and consequence indices for the assets, as well as the newly generated intervention requests, are written back into the programs.

Asset strategy planning

Asset groups can be defined according to the applicable company database, based on individual rule systems. New derived attributes and intervention types (renovation, maintenance, replacement, condition assessment, diagnostic measurements, inspections, inspections) can be freely configured for the device groups.

Based on the asset strategy, it is possible to specify that the given process is cyclical or state/risk-based for planning processes. An individual risk assessment can be freely configured for the asset groups, on the basis of which health and consequence indices can be defined. The evaluation logic of the asset groups has a hierarchical structure, summation, and expansion rules can also be specified. At the end of the asset strategy planning process, the intervention demands are generated based on the rule systems, and these are forwarded by the system to the planning of the intervention programs.

The resulting asset strategy can be simulated in a non-production alternative, the content of which is identical to the production content when created.

Designing intervention programs

The intervention needs generated during the asset strategy planning are transferred to the intervention program planning section. For the intervention needs assigned to the intervention program, the resource requirements and resource frameworks available to the company group can be specified, taking into account the given program. The planning processes of the intervention programs can be determined individually whether the given intervention program is to operate automatically or manually. The map functions integrated into the system can be used to display and edit requests belonging to automatic intervention programs. Besides, it is possible to record intervention requests that do not belong to the given program. After finalizing the intervention program, the system transfers the resulting work to the designated execution system. The resulting intervention program can be simulated in a non-production alternative, the content of which is identical to the production content when created.

Services

Lifecycle Tracking

The company’s historical and real-time asset data can be combined with an IIoT-enhanced Asset Management software for more efficient and profitable decision-making.

Up-to-date data

The system uses data from the Asset Management Master Data and data feed updated daily. The indicator updates such as health and consequence indices for the assets, as well as the newly generated intervention requests, are fed back into the programs.

Map support

Map functions integrated into the system allow you to display and edit claims for both automatic intervention programs and for claims not belonging to a given program.
